Social media has gone far over the past years. Many other people including me form part of a social network. From facebook, you tube , gmail , hotmail , blogger etc... Maybe Ive lost count because there are so many. But i use each one for a different purpose. For example facebook to keep in touch with friends . Youtube to watch some funny or useful video . Hotmail to send some work to teachers. The list goes on and on honestly.
Social media can involve many dangeours . There are many risks in social media networks. In the internet world there are many type of people. And some of them disafortunetly are bad people. So what I do to keep mysel safe is. I dont give out any personal information. I put all my accounts in private. For example on facebook only my friends can see my photos. Not friends of friends or anyone else just my friends.
Education and social media are 2 big factors in a students life. I believe that our education should show us about social media. The dangers and advantages of this . This would be very useful in a students life. Since the world eventually is going to be ruled by social media. The should also show us the limits social media can have in our lifes. They could even start a class based on this....
I agree w/ your third paragraph. It would be very helpful for teachers to be prepared for the future. It would be useful for teachers to teach students about social media.
